Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What should I wear to my massage?
A. Wear your normal day to day clothes but bring some shorts as well to change into if required.  You will be draped with towels and towels will be used at all times to protect your modesty. You will sometimes be asked to go down to your underwear to access the area to be worked on but if you are not happy with this then it can be worked around.

Q. Do I have to be a sports person to receive a sports massage?
A. No!  Deep tissue massage can benefit everyone from all walks of life.  I treat all sorts of people from office workers, keen gardeners, builders and manual labourers as well as sports men and woman.

Q. Do you treat children?
A. I am happy to treat from about the age of 14+ but anyone under the age of 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult, preferably their parent or guardian and this person will need to stay for the entire massage.

Q. Does Sports Massage hurt?
A. Sometimes this type of massage can be painful or uncomfortable but it can vary from person to person. Generally most people find that if it does hurt it is in a good way as you can feel it really getting to the point of aggravation.

It is not uncommon for people to be sore for a day or two afterward as well. This is quite normal and is your body healing.

Q. How long does deep tissue massage take?
A. For your first massage you will need to allow an hour as there is some paperwork to do but after this I am happy to do a shorter massage if required.

Q. I am receiving treatment from a chiropractor or osteopath. Can I still have deep tissue massage?
A. Yes, usually this is fine and the two can work well together.  I would suggest however that you speak to your current therapist about it first and find out their views and if they wish to speak to me or you would like me to speak to them, then I am more than happy to do so.

  What do my customers think?
I had full knee replacements at a relatively young age.

In order to make the operations a success it was very important to keep myself as fit and supple as possible to build up muscle strength.

Massage became an important part of my regime to assist me in
achieving this.

In using the services of Andy Bwye for the massage side of my strategy I found someone who was, Pleasant, Professional, Experienced and discreet.

He took the trouble to understand what I wanted and gave guidance as to the best treatments each time.
All of the above at a very competitive price in the comfort of your own home.

I have recommended him to friends who have gone on to use his
services and I know they share the same views expressed above.
